History

Our team and partners have been working across the world with believers from Muslim backgrounds for many years. We represent a wide range of experience in discipleship courses, research and training.

Dr Tim Green created the course Come Follow Me in response to a consultation in 2006. As the number of translations and partnerships grew, the charity Word of Life formed in 2019 with a focus on managing the discipleship Courses.

We believe in research-based materials which are produced by BMBs and by those who live and work with them. The Hikma track grew out of our passion to hear BMBs’ own voices in the global church.

Alongside providing discipleship resources, the need to equip churches and individuals to use them well arose. We believe that it is important to understand the method behind the course to use the materials most effectively so we developed the Training track to offer to those wanting to use the Come Follow Me course.

Tim was also part of a group who created the Joining the Family initiative, to help the church understand, love, equip and learn from BMBs. A review of the group’s partnerships and plans showed the natural fit with Word of Life’s work and vision. Joining the Family became our fourth track in 2020.

Word of Life is dependent on one-off and regular donations and grants. Please consider joining us in this ministry through prayer and giving.
